Easier ways

There has to be easier, if not faster ways of getting off my bike. We arrived home yesterday morning, after our bike ride. I had struggled all the way round, even on the first hill my legs didn’t want to know, my thighs were burning and I had to stop 3 times to get up the hill. (Last week I stopped once on this same hill). I am now sporting a few extra bumps and some nice colourful patterns on my body, from the bruising. I have cleats in my shoes to clip into my pedals, yesterday I just couldn’t get my feet to unclip when we arrived home. So yes you’ve guessed, the bike went sideways and down I went. I’m just glad we had made it home and that this didn’t happen out on the busy main road.

I couldn’t get up at first, through laughing. Once I was up, I was limping a little, no damage to my bike but my wrist had swollen nicely and my hip. My back was acheing for awhile after and today I did make it to work but couldn’t do anything, I kept catching my wrist and the pain would shoot up into my elbow, which is also bruised and swollen. So I’ve felt quite sick at work today. Thankfully I’m home now and have just had a nice soak in the bath to ease those aches and pains.

Needless to say I’ve changed my pedals now, no more cleats…LMAO!

I hope everyone else had a lovely weekend.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. I know it’s hard to get on and off a bike. Good job on the bike ride!!

WOW sounds like you had a great bike ride LOL. I hurt like no other when I get off my bike and I only ride 2 miles. I don’t ride now cause is is only 33 degrees out and the cold air hurts my lungs like crazy. Well good luck and don’t let that bike get the best of you!!
